Job Description

Salary: $107,000 - 147,000 per year Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED), plus one to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of a typical golf course.
  • Must be 19 years old and hold a valid drivers license with a clean motor vehicle record for the past three years.
  • Ability to physically lift and carry golf balls and range balls.
  • Ability to operate golf equipment.
  • Positive, professional demeanor.
  • Self-motivated and customer-service oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to recognize occupational hazards, understand safety precautions, and follow safe work practices.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification may be required for some positions, such as Ranger; we provide training.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide attentive service to members and guests, anticipate their needs, greet them warmly, and treat members, guests, and colleagues respectfully.
  • Maintain a clean, pressed appearance that meets our dress code, and keep work areas clean.
  • Keep supervisors informed about significant issues and notify management when a replacement is needed.
  • Set up and maintain practice-range stations, balls, and areas; assist members with clubs and direct them to the putting green before tee times; clean clubs and pack up the range.
  • Stage golf carts and bags; maintain the cart barn, staging area, driving range, and practice areas; receive members after their rounds and report finish times to the Golf Shop; clean and maintain carts; and perform starting and marshaling duties.
  • Provide valet and bag-drop service by handling golf bags, parking and retrieving vehicles, and loading and unloading bags.
  • Review course rules with players, advise members of unusual course conditions, coordinate tee times with outside services staff, record fee and transportation information, and submit completed tee sheets to the Golf Shop.
  • Monitor course play and pace, suggest solutions to on-course issues, report playing conditions to Golf Shop staff, repair ball marks and divots, replenish water and ice stations, and deliver messages to players.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, promote employee health and safety, and help train colleagues in safe practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
