Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Specialist to join a growing healthcare team in Boise, ID. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding self-pay accounts and billing inquiries. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, answer billing questions, resolve complaints, collect balances, and maintain positive relationships with patients, guarantors, and internal business office departments.
salary: $23 - $26 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
- Accept inbound calls from patients, physician offices, and insurance carriers to collect self-pay balances and resolve concerns promptly
- Make outbound calls to patients, provider offices, and insurance carriers as needed to facilitate account resolution
- Adhere strictly to all healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards, including HIPAA guidelines and patient verification protocols
- Maintain call quality and productivity standards while following provided scripts for consistent account resolution
Qualifications - High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, call center, or healthcare billing operations
- Quality understanding of insurance claim processing and medical billing terminology preferred
- Proficiency with phone systems, account management software, and electronic documentation tools
